Today, Paolo Cucino, SWS’s CEO, has signed a new contract for final and detailed design of the road tunnel under Świną River, between the islands of Uznam and Wolin in Świnoujście, Poland, close to the border with Germany, project co-financed by European Union.
Contract value is around 150 mln €.
SWS client is a consortium consisting of PORR, Gülermak and Energopol-Szczecin and the project will be implemented as a Design & Built contract.
A 13.5 m diameter Slurry TBM will be used for boring the tunnel due to the complex ground conditions for 1.44 km.
All activities will be performed in BIM environment.
