This spring SWS signed a new contract with HorizonT2A (Bouygues – Soletanche Bachy) to study all the connections between TBM tunnels and adits of the Grand Paris Express, Line 15 South, lot T2A. The challenge was linked to identify a solution that can cope with security and logistic requirements. More, complex geometrical configuration and shape of the opening used to require the implementation of a new tool in Dynamo. In fact, the 3D conventional software is not thought to handle the extrusion of this kind of irregular shapes.
Our continuous interaction with the worksite team allowed us to design a temporary steel propping to be installed in the main tunnel without disturbing the equipment and logistic traffic inside the TBM tunnel.
