SYSTRA SWS attended the conference on the new Bergen metro line in Norway

SYSTRA SWS is glad to have been attending the conference on the new Bergen metro line – construction phase 5, introduced last Thursday by Bybanen Utbygging.

The light rail will be the backbone of the public transport system in Bergen. The goal is to contribute to the right urban development and provide a safe and efficient journey. The fifth construction stage runs from the city centre through Åsane to Vågsbotn, together with a continual cycle route and an extension of the Fløyfjell tunnel to Eidsvåg. The light rail route from Kaigaten in the city centre to Vågsbotn in Åsane is 12.8 km long and has 14 stops. The extension of the Fløyfjell tunnel is approx. 2.5 km with a total length of the Fløyfjell tunnel of nearly 5.3 km.

We are already strongly present in Norway and our aim is to be even more so. This conference was also the right place to meet up with several contractors and partners, and a great opportunity to share opinions.
